Do Infants, Babies and my pet count towards the number of people in the portrait?
Yes. They are people too, even your pet. In most cases they require more attention than you do.
Do I get to hold a gun?
Yes! Your photographer will hand you your gun.
What if I don’t like my photo?
Your complete satisfaction is guaranteed. If you do not like your photos, for any reason, you do not have to purchase anything. We have been taking Old Time Portraits for over 40 years, and have been in photography for decades more. We pride ourselves in making great photos, but we want you to be completely happy with the results.
How much do the photos cost?
Prices start at only $29.99 for a 5×7 photo with up to 4 persons in the photo. That is for the first photo only. Additional copies of the same size or smaller are only ½ price. This ½ price special applies to all of our photo sizes – even our 20×24 prints! Please see our separate page on photo prices for more details.
Can our family pet be included in the photo?
In many cases, the answer is yes. Well-behaved dogs are welcome. Please contact us for other pets. We would appreciate your making an appointment if you will be bringing in a pet.
How long does it take?
Your pictures are ready in approximately 5 minutes once you have selected which proof you like the best. We suggest allowing approximately 30 minutes in total.
Do you have a costume to fit me?
YES. We have a huge selection of costumes from infants, to adult 4XL. We also can accommodate guests in wheel chairs. You CAN have your photo taken here!
How do the costumes work?
Most of our costumes are split backed, and can go on right over your street clothes. Some costumes will require you to change, but we have several fitting rooms for your convenience.
Is there a per person charge or minimum purchase required?
There is no minimum purchase charge, sitting fee, or per person charge for groups of 4 or less. For 5 or more persons in a photo, we do have a low minimum purchase requirement of $10 per person in your portrait. You can use it any way you like, including adding a frame, on the sitting of portraits with the largest number of people in them.
Are the portraits copyrighted?
Yes, all portraits taken at Old Abes Old Time Portratis are copyrighted. This means all portraits are owned by the photography studio who produced them.
Can I use my own camera or phone to take a picture?
NO. NO. NO. Using your own camera is strictly prohibited. You are hiring us to take your portraits.
Do you have photo packages?
We have many photo packages available starting at only $39.99. For example, Package 4 includes 1 5×7 and 4 wallets. We also have a great special. Buy an 8×10 print for $39.99, and all your additional packages are only $19.99 each.
What size photos are available?
We make prints from wallet thru 20 x 24. The most popular size is an 8×10.
How many people can fit into a single group photo?
We can accommodate groups of up to 40 in a single photo.

Can I choose the era I want?
YES. You can choose from one of our 16 stages, and over 50 themes! Step up to our authentically recreated 1870 Rattlesnake Saloon, or next to our original antique Wheel of Fortune in our Casino set. Relax in our authentic Western Bath Tub, or pose as pirates on our Treasure Island set. These and many other options are available.
Do I need an appointment?
No appointment is needed, but would be appreciated for groups of 10 or more.

When you are picking out a hat to go with your costume, this process does take longer for some people that it does for others 🙂
